About the client

TulipoBox is a brand that brings parents ready-made boxes full of meaningful activities for children. Its main promise is a simple but very powerful benefit: the child has a game ready to develop him, and the parent gets a moment for himself.

Boxes are assembled according to the age of the child – for children from 2, 3 and 4 years old. They contain creative assignments, worksheets, educational aids and activities, which support sensory perception, fine motor skills, attention, speech, creativity, practical skills and independence. Thus, TulipoBox does not function as a disposable toy that the child puts away after a few minutes. It is an experience he can return to.

The connection with the Action Women / Action Moms community was natural. The product needs parents’ trust, real usage examples and authentic recommendations. And that’s what Action Testing brings: the product will not only reach an article or advertisement, but directly into households, where mothers with children try it.

Testing TulipoBox with Action Moms

In May, we launched an Action Testing campaign, within which TulipoBox reached 22 testers. They tried it with their children in a normal home environment and created content for social networks.

The goal was not to create a perfect advertising scene. On the contrary. We wanted to show how TulipoBox works in the real life of families – while playing, creating, discovering, in moments when the child needs stimulation and mom needs at least a few minutes to breathe.

Tester Viktória caught this exact moment:

“Thank you very much for this testing. It was great and I didn’t know about this project at all. I believe you will be satisfied, as we were at home – the child was occupied and the mother could drink a hot coffee :-).”

Campaign objective

The campaign had several communication and business goals.

The main goal was to raise awareness of TulipoBox among parentsintroduce the product through real-world use and get authentic UGC content from moms and kids. The brand needed to show that the box is not just a nicely packaged product, but a practical tool for parents who want to spend quality and meaningful time with their children.

An important goal was also get feedback from the target audience. When it comes to products for children, trust, practicality and the ability to interest the child are decisive. Therefore, the testing should provide answers to the following questions: Will TulipoBox interest children? Will they return to the activities repeatedly? Do mothers see it as a good gift or a helper in their everyday life?

Forma kampane

The campaign was implemented through a combination of editorial content, newsletters, social networks and UGC outputs of testers.

First, we prepared a brand article with a call for testing, which presented TulipoBox as an alternative to regular toys and opened the possibility to participate in testing. Subsequently, we selected 22 female testers who had a relevant audiencechildren of an appropriate age and the potential to create natural content.

The testers tried the product at home and shared real life moments with their children. Reels, stories and posts were created that showed TulipoBox in use, not just as a product placed on a table.

After testing, we prepared result article with reviews and feedback. The campaign was also supported by 3 newsletters and an editorial social media promo.

Campaign outputs

As part of the campaign, the following were created:

The greatest value of the outputs was their naturalness. Children actually used TulipoBox, moms recorded their reactions, and the brand got content that seems more trustworthy than classic advertising.

Tester Denisa appreciated the thoughtfulness of the content:

“The composition was interesting and well thought out, various activities that support the development of the child. The description of specific activities was also great. Overall, I rate it positively. I would also recommend the box as a birthday or name day gift.”

Daniela reacted similarly:

“As a mother, I appreciate that it is not a disposable toy, but a material that the child likes to return to. It was a very pleasant experience for us, and I definitely recommend the box to parents who want to spend quality and meaningful time with their children.”

Results and measuring success

The campaign brought strong results especially in the areas of reach, content and trust.

The outputs of the testers reached a total of 113,790 views. The estimated number of unique users through testers reached 66,935. The editorial social media promo added another 5,361 unique users.

17 female testers participated in the questionnaire and 100% of them recommend TulipoBox.

The campaign thus brought not only visibility to the brand, but also social proof. When it comes to products for children, the mother’s recommendation is particularly strong. If the child uses the product, returns to it, and the mother is able to recommend it further, the brand gains trust, which is much more difficult to build with ordinary advertising communication.

Tester Karina summed it up very well:

“The mystery box pleasantly surprised us :). The activities were varied, meaningful and above all, it’s not the type of box that you open only once, but we kept coming back to it :): Mom, are we going to do another activity? And that’s the biggest review for me, that she enjoyed it, she kept coming back to it herself and it made sense.”

How the client evaluates the cooperation

Jana from TulipoBox evaluated the cooperation positively. In her feedback, she said that communication was fine and the campaign brought valuable content and a new audience to the brand. She saw the greatest benefit in authentic content from real mothers and children, which she believes is more credible than classic advertising. At the same time, she appreciated that the brand received a lot of usable UGC content.

She also positively evaluated the outputs of the testers themselves, especially from the point of view of authenticity and trustworthiness. She identified the opportunity to see children using the products at home as a big benefit.

At the same time, she named an important recommendation for further campaigns: this type of collaboration has the greatest benefit for brands that already have a more clearly defined product, communication and goals. It is then that they can make full use of the reach, content and feedback that Action Testing brings.

What the brand gained

Thanks to the campaign, TulipoBox gained more than a one-time reach.

The brand received authentic UGC content, real product usage demonstrations, a new audience, feedback from moms, recommendations from testers and concrete social proof in the form of 100% referrals from 17 questionnaire responses.

The campaign also showed that TulipoBox has a strong gift and practical potential. The testers saw it as a meaningful activity that the child can return to, as well as a suitable gift for a birthday or name day.

However, the greatest value for the brand was the content that it can further use in its own communication – on social networks, the web, in newsletters, business materials or in other campaigns.

Evaluation of success and recommendations

The campaign for TulipoBox showed that Action Testing can very well connect emotion, practical experience and measurable impact for children’s products.

The key success factors were the authenticity of the testers, the natural involvement of children, a suitable product for a family environment and the connection of several communication channels. TulipoBox was not presented as an advertising object, but as part of a normal family day.

For similar brands, this format is especially suitable if they need to show the product in use, get credible content and reach women through a community whose recommendations feel natural.

If the brand wants to get the most out of the campaign, we recommend having the following clearly prepared before the launch: campaign goal, expected type of outputs, measurable links or discount code, plan for further use of UGC content and follow-up communication after testing.

TulipoBox didn’t just get numbers through Action Testing. It gained content, trust and real involvement from moms who tried the product with their children.
